Prospects For Corn.
State Statisician Johnson says that it is too early to begin worrying about the prospeots for oorn in Indiana, It is true, he says, that farmers have been delayed by the unfavorable weather; that much corn is still to be planted, but there is no reason why a good crop should not be made. “June 1 is a little late for corn planting” says ke, “but with seasonable weather there will be ample time in which to make a crop.” And now let Mr. Johnson show up with his seasonable weather, Jasper oounty farmers need it in their business, and need it awful bad.
