Piatt Keeps the Plug
A replevin oase was tried before Bquire Irwin last Wednesday. The property involved was one of the two horses the/Geiser Man’s, Co. Took from Wm. J. Piatt, a week or two ago, on an old mortgage given by Jim Liater. Piatt replevined the horse-and the oase was tried as stated. Mrs. Lister testified that this horse was not one of the mortgaged ones, bnt one tbnt she herself sold to Piatt. E. F. Short, on the other band, swore positively that it was the mortgaged horse. The Squire decided in Mr. Piatt’e favor, and he therefore retains possession of the horse.
