An Editor’s Strange Adventures.

North Judson News. •-¥ The editor of the Wanatah paper came near being gathered to his forefathers last Sunday while down at the Kankakee river. He had taken various squints at the wine when it was vermillion hued , and was standing in the stern of a row boat proposing toasts. In some manner the boat glided out from under him and he took on a oargo on of Kankakee swamp water. The boat and all the contents went to the bottom. Some ,pne lent the fallen editor a helping hand and he managed to get ashore. Evidently be had not been used to drinking water as he came very near passing in his ohips His companions walked on his back and tried every means known to get the water ont of his stomach before it rusted. It didn’t take very long for the knight of the quill and scissors to sober up. Next time he’ll probably know better than to take suoh an over- - supply of bait along.
