There was paid out in Logansport during 1902, $47,506 by life insurance companies. Moses Bauer, a merchant of twenty years’ standing in Seymour, is dead of Bright's disease. Ed Sherfick and Henry Hagn, farmers of Lost River township, quarreled at Shoals, and Haga cut Sherfick' through the right arm and on the left side in the hollow of the back, making probably fatal wounds. Lawrence, the 11-year-old son of I. D. Waldron, a farmer of Clinton County, tied" a rope around a calf’s neck and fastened the other end of the rope around his own body.
