Death of E. C. Noland.

Eraetus C. Nolaud was born Tn Xenia, Ohio, Aug. 30, 1844, and died at his home in Crawfordeville, Indiana, April 18, 1903. Mr. Noland’s death was due to exhaustion. His health had been declining for several years past and during the six months previous to his death he was confined to the house most of the time. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery. He moved with bis parents, Obed and Malicda Noland, to Indiana in 1847/ On Oot. 8,1866 he was united in marriage to Luvina Johnson, daughter of the late Benjamin Johnson. To this union five children were born, two having died in early childhood. The three surviving children are Mrs. J C. Barnhill, Helen and Jessie. He united with the Christian churoh in 1869-under Rev. B. R. F. Treat in Jasper Co. In 1872 he identified himself with the Christian churob in Crawfordsville, of whioh he was always a devout and beloved member. His greatest delight was in reading and studying bis Bible. Mr. Noland was a man whose sympathies and gentle manner won him a wide circle of friends by whom he will be kindly remembered. Of reoent years he has been engaged in the real estate and loan business, also be has been identified for many years with the commercial interests of Crawfordsville and be left a name for honesty and fairness tbat his family will cherish.
