The First Cates of the Contagion.
Young Diok Hartman, the telephone lineman, who bad the smallpox and got over it without knowing he had it, states that neither he nor Landy MoGee were the pioneers in the present epidemio. He states that Noble Ball was the first to have it, so far as oan be traoed and he had it and gave it to him, Landy and Isaac Glazebrook, before the linemen went over to Franoesville. As to where Noble Ball contracted it be does not known himself, and he had not been any plaoe where he oould have been exposed that be knows of.
