James Hurley moved to Laura Monday. J. G. Dodd spent Sunday with his family at Bradly, 111. Henry Toomine, Harry Gifford, Geo. Buch, W. N. Jordan and T. M. Callahan were witnesses on the Akers vs Gifford trial at Rensselaer last week.
George Buoh has been awarded the contraot of oarrying the mail from Newland via Gifford to Aix to begin July Ist. James Russel and family visited the former’s mother here over Sun day.
John Burris of Lewiston 1 purchased a fine new rubber tired buggy of Gifford & Callahan Saturday.
Jess Green of Riverside, Warren Co., arrived here Saturday and will work for Mrs. Mary Hullihau this summer. Will DeMoss who has been visiting in Illinois returned home last week.
Quite a large acreage of onions are being put out yet, everybody is late on account of the continued wet weather.
Mr. A. D, Lee went to Monon Saturday on business. Barney Newland and Jake Johnson were at Rensselaer Wednesnesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivor MoCoYmiok went to 111, Friday to spend the summer with the formers father on a farm. Julius Brown craneman on dredge No 3 spent Sunday with his family at Medarysville.
