Editor Bowie Badly Beaten.

John Bowie, of Thayer, editor of the Thayer-Shelby Review, was severely beaten Monday .night, by Max Ahlgrim, of Water Valley, it seems that Mr. Bowie bad arbitrated a money dispute between Ahlgrim and some other party, and bad some sl7 in his hands to turn ovar to Ahlgrim, and Bowie wanted the receipt before he let go the money, and Ahlgrim wanted the money before be handed over the receipt. And that was where the trouble began. The affair took place in Bowie’s own house. .
