The Remington Remonstrance Case

- ■ The Commissioners Monday gave a partial hearing to the case of the blanket remonstrance against John-F. Kelley, the Remington saloon license applicant. The blanket remonstrance was held to be in due form, and the names supposed to be all right and legal numbered 271. One name was struck off, because incorrectly copied by the attorney, he having written Thomas when it should havQ been Florence. Three or four names on the original power of attorney were also accidentally omitted. Hence the reduction of the total to 271, which leaves a majority of only 12 to go on Further hearing was continued until next Saturday, when the (legality and sufficiency of the names will be tried and passed upon.
