Southwest Jordan.
John Bill had a good three year old colt get a broken leg a few days ago and had to kill it. George Wortley Jr., got thrown from his horse and quite badly hurt but is about all O. K. at this writing. Martin Ka r, of Newton Co., is quite sick again. Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Gushwa Sr. moved to their property in Goodland last week after a continued residence of thirty-two years on the same farm. We are very sorry .to lose them and congratulate the people of Goodland that they chose it as their place of residence. They had only been in their new home a day or two when they .received the sad news of the death of their son Peter in Denver, Colo. Their old friends sympathize with them deeply in this their great sorrow. One of the pleasantest events that has ocoured in our neighborhood for sometime was the marriage last Tuesdav of Miss Marv Simonin and Mr. D. A. Augsperger at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Simonin. The bride wore a beautiful gown of gray brilliantine and the groom wore black. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Augsperger. father of the groom. They will reside on a farm in Carpenter Tp. We wish them a long and happy life. There is not much news, for the roads are so bad that every one stays at home as much as possible.
