Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 35, Number 51, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 3 March 1903 — Twas A Stolen Wheel. [ARTICLE]

Twas A Stolen Wheel.

The bicycle lately advertised in this paper has thereby found its owner. It belongs to a daughter of Albert Godlove, of Monticello, and county assessor of White county. It seems that the boy who left it on the porch had stolen the wheel and rode it here from Monticello. The boy was found that same night, hanging around the light plant, and was sent back home by Policeman Dillon, He there told the owners of the wheel that he had ridden it here, and tried to # describe where he had left it, and a man came -here nnd TnnfpirrfarTt Flin td id not look in the right place. All this occurred two or three months ago. The wheel itself is far past the heyday of its yduth, and scarcely worth the trouble and expense its owners have been put to, in looking for it. /-r ' ? - —-r
