Hanging Grove. L Mias Maggie Wright of Gardner Illinois is visiting at Mrs. Lutz. There was no school at Parker Friday, Ray Yeoman the teacher was on the sick list. Mrs. Clyde Randal spent a few days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Dodd at Lee. Mr. Edd Barr and family have left for Boone Co,, where he expects to farm a little and do whatever other work he can find to do, Lefler school has been having a hard time. About the time it got over the mumps it has taken the whooping cough. Miss Mary Iselman has returned borne from Mr. Boarders. Mrs. Emeline Randal has been on the sick list for several days. Mr. Emil Johnson’s brother and a friend, both from Chicago have spent a few days at Mr, Johnsons lately. Mr. Thomas Wright of Gardner, 111. came Saturday to visit Mr. Eib. Misses Alice and Jennie Eib and Messrs Herbeit Eib and T, Wright spent the evening at Mr. Stalkers Sunday and while there, their team of bronchos broke loose and ran home with the carriage, with no farther damage than a horse blanket torn in two and a slight break of the carriage seat. About forty friends and neighbors spent a very pleasant evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson Feb. 21. The occasion was in honor of their first wedding anniversary. An elegant lap supper was served by the hostess and the company dispersed about midnight, wishing the worthy couple long lives and prosperity.
