The Elkhart Review says editorially; “The criticisms of press and public upon the assaults of the pulpit on bards, dancing and theatre-going are not indicative of a very wide or intense sympathy with the wholesale condemnation of these amusements. The public has come to look upon them nil as good in their place, and only bad when abused. Indeed, bow many of the sins of todaj and of all days are merely inverted and preverted good.”
