Bon. W. D. Frazier, National Bank Examiner for Northern Indiana spent Monday here, making a critical examination of the books accounts and assetts of the Commercial State Bank, preparatory to issuing an authority for this Bank to convert its business into The First National Bank of Rensselaer on the 2nd day of March, as previously announced. After an exhaustive and thorough investigation, he complimented the Directors and: Officers —on —the condition of the Bank and left bis approval of the authority for the change which bad already been made by the Treasury Department at Washington. There will be no change in management and the bank will open next Monday morning the 2nd of March as the First National Bank of Rensselaer.
