The Circuit Court.

The petit jury wap empannelled Monday afternoon, and tried John G. Liggitt, of Fair Oaks. John and another man run a little chuok-a-luok game here, at the K. of P. carnival, last fall, or would if the jury had seen it that way. Tbe only witness was J. F. Irwin. He invested some money at the game. When asked who took tbe money, he said he took most of it himself. It took about 5 minutes to bear the evidecoe, 5 more for the argument and instructions, and another 6 for the jury to go out and come in again, with a verdict of “not guilty.” The jury, being exhausted with their strenuous labors was exoused until tbe Ist Monday in Maroh.
