Letter to Mr. J. Makeever.
Rensselaer, Ind. Dear Sir: One coat of Devoe is better than two of some mixed paints. The American House, at Tannersville (Catskill Mts.), N. Y., Cbas, L, Wiltse, had two coats of paint five years ago; last spring had two more coats of the same paint. - -
Owner was going to use Devoe but got the other paint a few oents less.
Right across the street, Charles Ganer painted one ooat of Devoe at the same time—last spring.
The Haner house is the better job; but wait five years, The point of the story is that Wiltse is sorry already. He has learned something that not one man in a thousand knows—that a gallon of one kind of paint oan oontain twice as mneh paint as a gallon of another kind of paint Yon oan’t afford to put on another paint even if you have it given to yon- At the same time, yon see, that Mr. Wiltse’s paint appears to have worn five years—give the devil his due. Yours truly 1 F. W. Deyoe & Co.
