Not Far Out of the Way.
At their institute the farmers of Porter county indulged in a good many resolves before adjourning. They resolve for a bigger appropriation for Purdue Agricultural college. They resolved for the primary election law for the purpose of knooking out ring politics. They resolved in favor of the nomination and eleotion of U. S. Senators by popular vote. They resolved in favor of reducing the rate of interest on school fund loan to 5 per cent, and they resolved that the office of truant offioer should be abolished. Well, the Porter county fariners are not far out of the way in most of their resolves.
