Miss Grace Long of Knirnan is visiting relatives in and near town for a few days, Mrs. Giles Fibey and Mrs. Dennis Brooks did shopping in Rensselaer Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gifford are visiting friends at Kankakee for a few days, Barney Newland has a new horse and buggy. Look out girls; Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Callahan visited his parents Sunday. Norval Osborne and family have moved down on the Poole farm in Hanging Grove township. The box supper at Newland was a good success, proceeds amount to something over $45 00. There will be a masquerade ball at Newland Valentine eve. Come all and have a good time. Jim Hurley will move in town this week. Mr. and Mrs, George Martin visited friends at Lee Sunday. Jphn Smith of near Gifford will move in with his son Theodore Smith until he can get possession of the farm which he has rented.
