Will Be A Big Improvement.

Ex-County Surveyor Lewis S. Alter, of Carpenter Tp., has nearly completed the surveying and laying out of the Curtis Creek ditch. The ditch is about 15 miles long and half in Newton township, this this county, and half in Newton county. It follows the bed of Cnrtis Creek, in a general direction. but lops off and straightens out the bends and curves and curly cues of that meandering streamlet to a notable extent, it will drain and make valuable a big scope of fine land that is now of but comparatively small value.
