What he is now doing to the New Orleans bowlers is a plenty, Though his well known modesty will not permit him to tell the whole story of his success, some hints of it may be found in the following extracts from a letter the “Bhoys” have just received, over his sign manual. I told them to leave me out, but they finally compromised by giving me a weak man, I went after two of the best teams in the city, the hardest fought battle of my life was last night and won by 22 pins. ;• My photograph now hangs on the wall along side of Thompson’s, with the inscription "Bill N. Jones of Indiana, the champion ten pin bowler of his age in the wqrld.” It is a little expensive here, $25. a month board besides insidentals which come in quite often and sometimes heavy. The carnival begins Feb, 22nd. I suppose from what people say that it is the biggest thing of the kind on earth, people are coming already from all over the United States. They tell me that the hotels are over run now and they cant tell what they will do with the people. The weather has been a’most summer heat for 10 days. NW flowers ere out and everything is about like our June weather, Bill N.
