Company M. Will Go.
Company M. Third Infantry, of this city, was made a part of the National Guard last week when the Dick bill received the signature of President Roosevelt. The bill is of interest to those interested in military matters, and offers inducements that will greatly strength on the company here. In the first place it will give the boys a fine trip every year to some military post to witness the manoeuvers of the regular army, for which they will be paid. The militia of Indiana expect to go to Chioamauga next summer, and as the law requires men to be enlisted a certain length of time before attending this school of instruction all those who have though seriously of becoming members of Company M, will have the chance to take the trip, if they enlist now. The company noy has over sixty members and is in' a flourishing condition, and Jasper county will beas proud of her company at Chioamauga next summer as she was at Indianapolis last May, when they carried off so much honor in the soldiers’ paiade. The company will probably recruit up to one hundred members before the time is closed to go to Chioamauga.
