Great Things In The Oil Field.

Our Asphaltum correspondent mentions the visit to- the Gillam oil fields, the latter part of last week, of a large number of capitalists from Wisconsin and other states to investigate the field, with a view to investing largely. There were, as we are informed from other sources, 32 men all came in one party, with an ex governor of Wisconsin at their head. They decided to invest largely and to prooeed with an extensive and systematic developement of the field, including, it is stated the ereotion of a big refinery at Asphaltum. if this program is oarried out, there will be u big boom in the oil fields forthwith.
