A New Poor Farm Super= intendent.
The oouoty commissioners were In special session Monday afternoon, to appoint a new superintendent for the oounty poor farin'. It had been expected that the mat* ter wonld not come up antil the regular meeting of the commissioners in February but Mr. Clark, the present superintendent notified > the commissioners last Saturday that he desired to leave on the Ist -of the month, and there was no other alternative but to hold a special session and<make new appointment, at once. For Mr. Clark’s j*4raooesßor the commissioners appointed Philip Blue, of Rensselaer. He is appointed for Mr. Clark’s nnexpired term, only, which is un. til the Ist of next August. The combined salary for himself as superintendent and his wife as vmatroD, is 1600, whioh is SSO less tfban is paid now. Mr. Blue has already served the in official capacities, the most important having been the office of connty sheriff for two terms, and in whatever oapaoity he aoted, it has-always been with the utmost faithfulnessand fidelity. He was brought up and spent most qf his life as a practical and it is therefore fair to assume that be will suooessfully Mr. Clark’s very able management of the farming work on the oounty farm.
