A Remarkable Fog.

The dense fog which lasted here all of Tuesday afternoon and all of Wednesday, and lifting some time during Wednesday night, was one of the most unusual phenomenons of the kind within the records of the weather bureau. It was remarkable not only for its density but for its great extent. It extended over Indiana, Illinois. lowa. Nebraska. Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Alabama, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas, Louisiana, South Dakota, Georgia, the District of Columbia and the great lakes. Here it was so dense at times that in broad daylight not even the faintest outline of onr towering court house could be seen at a distance of 500 feet.
