Kentland Enterprise: Circuit Court convened Monday i morning with the new Judge, Hon. ' Charles W. Hanley, on the bench. Judge Hanley took up the Judical reins quietly and modestly, and what ever irritation existed during the late campaign was apparently forgotten, the court and members of the bar exohauging greeting-) in a most cordial manner. There ap pears to be no disposition ou the part of the attorneys to antagonize the Judge, and the Cour! is showing the Dwyers every courtesy Judging from present indications court business will move forward in h manner perfectly satisfactory to Court and lawyers, and as a natural consequence to the satisfaction of the people.

He need to ship lots of hay from MoCoysburg and other points on the line and lost a good deal of money, from the hay getting wet and spoiling because the company did not furnish oars. He sued in White county and got a verdict for 51, 600. Both sides wanted a new trial and next time he got $2,500 About that time the company had gone into a receiver’s and been sold under a mortgage, and nothing was Jett apparently for McGuire and other holders of small claims. But McGuire’s attorney learned 1 that the old Monon owned three blocks of the town of Francesville near the depot, covered with lumber yards and business house.’i and he levied on these blocks, claiming that they were not included in the property sold und.r the big mortgage, and the Supreme Court has finally sustained this view; and McGuire .will get hie money with interest. The Francesville property is estimated to be worth $15,000 to 525,C0 ‘,
