Coldest Weather So Far.
Sunday was a bad old day for weather, Some three or four inches of enow, fell daring the night and morning and a high north wind kept this driving and UHrifting about all day. All day long too the temperature kept slowly falling, and by six o’clock in the evening the zero mark was reached. The mercury did not j stop there however, and at six morning, the registering U. S thermometer stood at 7 below zero, This was the coldbest mark for the night, and also 4hp coldest of the present winter; the lowest heretofore reached here being 2 below. It also is the coldifest here since December 13th, 1901, The high north winds all the time prevailing has made the cold very penetrating.
