Tom Boyed, of Kentucky, is calling on friends here. Miss Rilla Cox, of Lafayette, is visiting her parents here. C. P. Fry speaks proudly of a Christmas present by Mr. C. T. Otis, a cattle round up and open plain drawings done by the hand of the famous artist, Frederiok Remington. Rev. Hall preached at the Christian church Friday evening of this week. C, F, Otis is here this week rounding op cattle on the ranch. R. Halleck is on the sick list. Tents and sugar beet machinery will be sold Jan. 6th. Proceeds to go to C. P. Fry. R. Sipkema is on the sick list. Cal Parkes is also sick this week. Chas. Parker of Sec. 80, and H. Denton, of Rose Lawn, will go to Goodiand with Otis cattle this week. Elmer Arnold and wife, of Brook, called on friends here this week.

Albert Warner started to Illinois Dec. 24, to spend Christmas among relatives and friends. ——- - - Mrs, Grimpe of Joliet ill,, came Christmas day to visit her sister-in-law, Mrs. Eib and return home Saturday. Mrs. Lehman and her little son Louie are spending the holidays among relatives and friends at Peoria Illinois.

Misses Alice and Jennie and thenbrother Rollin Eib started Christmas morning to visit their sister Mrs. Geo, Wright at Gardner 111., and other relatives at Joliet 111. Robert Drake and family spent a few days last week at Monon and attended the family Christmas tree at Mr. Kowes’. Geo. Smith is hauling corn to Mr, Drake. Mrs. Eib and Mrs, Grimpe were the guests of Mrs, Stalker Friday evensng. There was a dance at Mr. Nice - son’s last Saturday night. J. C. Gwin and wife were in Rensselaer Saturday; f* Mr. Geo. Stalker and family were in Rensselaes Saturday, Miss Jennie Day fMNI Ullaus is visiting at Baileys. Ina Stiller is staying at Mr. Reynolds. Frank and Oran Paragrine were out sieighriding and hunting in Frank’s new single cutter last Saturday. Several of us hope it will keep snowing. ® Mrs. Warner is spending a few days with her mother at Lee, while Mr. Warner is in Illinois.
