The Finest Calendar Yet
j This is tbe season of the year when the crop of calendars is ripe for the harvest and many very ornamental ones are being passed around. 8j far, however, the finest that has come our way, is that of the Equitable Life Insurance Company, of New York, and sent by Elmer Dwiggins. The calendar is on six sheets, tied together, and on the front of each | sheet is the oalendar for two months, and a large pioture in colors of an Amerioan flag. Thp series of pictures gives a complete history of all tbe national flags.; The first sheet has the flag of 1903|;the second the first stars and of 1777; the third the Pine Tree naval flag of 1776; the fourth the Union 1 Flag of 1776, with tbe, American red and white stripes, but the British Union in the corner; the fifth the Liberty flag, of 1775, the sixth the Rattle-snake flag, ako of 1775. Each flag is held up by a beautiful Amerioan girl and who, next to the stare and stripes, orperbapsright along with it, are the most beautiful things on this earth, or the neighboring planets either, so far as heard from. On the back of each sheet is a brief history of the flag portrayed on the front. Of the girls that hold them no history is given. But they speak for themselves. We wish friend “Dwig” would enough of these calendars that every room in the sohool house could have one. They are not only highly ornamental but from a historical ‘ point of view, very valuable,
