A Month's Coal Ahead.

Mayor Ellis arrived home Friday evening from his coal-hnnting trip to Terre Haute, whioh was reasonably successful. He snooeeded in bagging two oars of coal for the oity’s use. He did not bring it with him in his grip but left orders for it to follow on the next train, or so. He bought it of the Central Mining Company, whose mines are at Jessup, Ind. These two oars together with the two from the Ooal Bluff Mining Co. and* what is already on band will run the plant about a month, and no doubt by that time some more will be seonred. It will take about half t)f one of these oar loads to pay the city’s debts, that mnoh having been borrowed of Babcock & Hopkins.
