Coal Situation To Date.

Some fobr or five car loads of coal arrived at Rensselaer Friday, noluding one more car load of hard ooal. By which it will be seen that the prevailing coal famine does not seriously affect Rensselaer, nor is there any danger that it will. The hard coal situation up to date here, is that Reneselaer has now received 11 car loads since the big strike was declared off, which is a good deal more than even Lafayette, a city of ten times o.ur population has received. More than that there were at least nine cats of hard ooal on band by one of our firms, at the j beginning of the season, that were ! ordered last April and received before the strike began. In soft coal also Rensselaer has been very fortunate, one dealer starting in with 400 tons in his bins, and the others with good snpplies, And new shipments have been received right along.
