Obituary.

Staoy English, son of Able and Mary English was born Nov. 23,1821, in Logan County Ohio. Died at bis home in Hanging Grove Township, Jasper Co; Ind Dec. 19, 1902, at the advanced age of 81 years and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Crim. January 4, 1848. To this union were born ten ohildren, all of whom are yet living, exoept one who died in infancy. His wife died Oct. 5,1900 He never united with any branch of the visible obnrch, bat died a triumphant death in Christ Jeans. He said there was no darkness, and that he was going to oroes the river happy. In speaking of his sufferings, he said he had no word of oomplaint and that Jesus bad suffered on the cross for ns.

He bore his sufferings with Christian patience, and often repeated the songs, “We are passing away to the great judgment day”, and Nearer my God, to Thee. Dearest father, greatly we’ll miss thee but we bow in humble submission for we doeth all things well.
