State Meeting of Educators.
The forty-ninth annual meeting of the Indiana State Teachers’Association will be held Dec. 29, 30 and 31st at Indianapolis. Most of the section will meet in the Statehouse, although the session of the association itself will be held this year in the Masonic Temple. The first general association meeting will begin at 8 p. m. Dec. 29. There will be addresses by the retiring president, H. B. Brown, of Valparaiso, and by the new president, C. A. Prosser, of New Albany. Mr. Prosser’s subject is “Needed Re-adjustment of Our School System,” The county superintendents will meet in the Supreme Court room at the Statehouse Dec. 31, at 10 a. m. Text-books will receive much attention, County Superintendent L. H. Hamilton has the of being one of the vice-presidents of the States Teachers’ Association and also having a place on the program. He will read a paper on “Higher Educational Standard for Teachers and Trustees,” before the County Superintendents section, on Wednesday, the 31st.
