The City Council.
The City Council Monday night transacted but little business except passing on claims, some 62,0 f which were allowed, including the quarterly salaries of the firemen, and the pay of the couucilmen and other city officials. The city attorney was directed to publish a notice to the unknown holders of certain steel improvement bonds now due, to call at the captain’s office and cash them in The auditing committee of the fire, department made its report. In the firemen’s disability fund there is a balance on hand of $266.12. In the general fund there is only the far from enormous balance of $5.50. A special meeting was held Tuesday night, at which the plans and specifications of the big Makemself sewer were definitely approved and adopted.
