The season of Christmas shopping is here and the Rensselaer stores never looked more beantifnl nor carped larger or finer stocks. The windows and show oases are models and marvels of artistic arrangement and display,- and buyers and prospective buyers and even those who seldom or never buy, are feasting their eyes every day on the pretty things that are offered for sale. The Rensselaer merchants have evidently anticipated a heavy holiday trade and they bought accordingly and prepared themselves for it. And Rensselaer shoppers are coming more and more to recognize the fact that they can buy right here at home just as cheaply as anywhere else and save the cost of travel and the doubts and uncertainties that come with buying of strangers. There is no place in northern Indiana, large or small where people get better values for their money than right here in Rensselaer.
