About Teachers’ Examinations.
County Superintendent Hamilton has received a circular letter concerning the examinations of teachers for professional and life license. State Superintendent Frarik L. Jones sends the letter and it will be found of great interest. Heretofore the examination for prosesStoual license has been held the last Saturday in March in each county of the state by the county superintendent, but the time has been changed to the last Saturday in February, and is to be held in nine different places by the members of the state board of educa-. tion. The examinations will be as follows throughout the state: Department of education, state house, Indianapolis; office of city superintendent of schools, Fort Wayne; office of city superintendent of schools, Evansville; office of county superintendent of schools, Valparaiso; office ofcounty superintendent of schools, Evansville; office of county superintendent of schools, Terre Haute; office of county superintendent of schools, Lafayette; office of city superintendent of schools, Seymour; office of city superintendent of schools, Bloomington. Applicants for state life license may be examined by the state board on the last Saturday of April at any of the above named plaCe®. The letter further say® that in regard to common school examination Mythology” and “Dickens as an Educator” maysbe substituted for science of education and literature, respectively.
