Another Row In the Levee District.

t In the levee district late Thursday evening five men“got busy” for some time making “knock-down” arguments in favor of the antisaloon movement. They were Allen Caldwell, or Colloewll as he spells it, his son Dick, a 17 year old boy, Julius Baska and his son William, aDd Omer Merrill. All live somewhere in the Gifford district. The row started between young Caldwell and Old Baska. over some old trouble, regarding some one having thrown stones at the Baskas while going home from a social. It was a pretty ugly fight and several of the participants especially Merrill, Wm. Baska and Dick Caldwell were pretty severely hammered. The row began in the rear of one of the saloons, and ended, in the alley that runs baok of the south side business houses. . The final set-to was between Wm. Baska and Omer Merrill, and war a very vioious enoounter, but was stopped by T. J. McCoy and Bruce White. These two parties were afterwards arrested by Constable Vick and taken before Squire Iroxell. Merrill was fined $3 and costs, or 812.00 in all, which he paid. Young Baska was released. The whole party were pretty well boozd. '
