Chicago is in the throes of an anonymous letter mystery. Members of Chicago’s elite society have >een systematically persecuted by malidious letter writers for years, and a determined effort is being made to discover and punish the parly or parties. Valparaiso also las one or more of these fiends, for a long time members of ecme of the beet families of Valparaiso, lave been receiving some of the most horrible letters that oould be imagined, and immense suffering ias been oaused by them. Detectives have b# n placed on the case iy some of the victims, and we understand that one guilty party was run down and confronted with ler devilish work.
