Biggest District School.

W. H. Osborne, teacher of the Brushwood, or Aix sohool, in Union Tp.. claims that it is the largest district school in Jasper county. He sends us some facts and figures from the school’s record for November which certainly show that the school is large enough to keep time from hanging heavily on the teacher’s hands, at any rate There were 24 boys and 30 girls enrolled; and of these 31 were neither tardy nor absent, and there was only one case of tardiness recorded during the month. The absences didn’t cut much figure either, for the total days’ absences was only 43, while the total days’ attendance was 1011. The average daily attendance was 50-1/2. Forty of the pupils belong to the Young People’s Reading Circle, 37 are on roll of honor, and 4 are gold star pupils. Verily, Mr. Osborne may well be proud of his schools’ record.
