OBITUARY.

Thomas Elton Lutz, son of Jacob and Laura Lulz was born near Manhattan, Will County, Illinois Jau. 17, 1870. In 1892 his father died and soon after, he widowed mother and the family moved to Jasper Co., Indiana. puling the winter of ’93 he acknowledged Christ as his Savior in the Osborne M. E. church, Elton remained at home until J une 1900 when he went to Oregon. Seven months later he went to the Phillippine Islands, and was a trusted employee of the U. 8. Government for one and one half years He returned during the latter part of J uly of the present year, remaining Until his death Nov, 26th, 1902, at the age of 32 years, 10 mo., todays. He leaves a widowed mother, two brothers, namely Arthur, Willis and Walter Owen who reside with their mother. Also four sisters, Mrs, Eva Maxwell of Barkley, Mrs. Rose Lee, of McCoysburg, Clara and Irene, who will mourn the loss of a loving and affectionate son and brother. He had a genial, happy disposition and was a respected citizen. His remains were laid to rest beside his father in the cemetery at Manhattan, 111.
