Recepts of Some Postoffices.
The gross receipts and net revenue of all the presidential postoffices in Indiana have just been published. We append Rensselaer and a few neighboring towns, with the gross receipts in the first column and the net revenue in the second.
Rensselaer $6,196 $3779 Remington 3,134 1,627 Goodland 3,648 1,837 Kentland.... .. 2,'923 1,139 Fowler 4,608 2,660 Monticello 5,892 3,576 Monon 2,291 978 Crown Point... 4,524 2,495 Winamac 4,517 2.482 Lowell 2,980 1,398 Delphi 5,751 3,449 Attica 50,048 40,159 Rensselaer, it will be observed does the biggest postoffice business of any town of its class in this vicinity. Not counting Attica, which is some bigger, but not so very much, yet does the phenomenal business of over $50,000 per year. This great business is mainly owing to its being the location of that enormous advertising firm the “Sterling Remedy C 0..” which, like its Cascarets, “Work while»you sleep,” and keep the postoffice working, too.
