Sportsmanlike? Spirit In Monticello.

The Monticello Journal had no lack of spaoe and big head-lines when it oome to telling abont Monticello high school beating Rensselaer, by a score of 11 to 5. But when Monticello oame over here and got lambasted to the tone of 17 to 0, the Journal has never even mentioned the game. This is about on a par, as an exhibition of the trne sportsmanlike spirit, with the action of Superintendent Hamilton, of the Montioello schools, last spring, at the field day there, when he kept announcing Brown’s points, as “Brown of Evanston,” ‘‘Brown of Danville” etc. Well, there was no “Brown of Danville” or any other “Brown” in the foot ball game last Saturday, except that Monticello was “done up Brown,” good and proper.
