Won’t Surrender Tunica.

Last Saturday, at Springfield, Gov. Yates refused to honor a requisition from Gov. Durbin of this state, for the surrender of Archie Tunica, the fellow who stole Delos Thompson's SBOO diamond stud, last June, from his room at the Lahr house, at Lafayette. Gov. Yates declined to issue the warrant on the ground that Tunica is now under bonds to await the action of the Sangamon county grand jury on a charge of robbing three jewelers of Springfield and that the local courts have jurisdiction in the case.
