Postmasters at Hammond.

Hammond was beeeiged Monday and Tuesday by postmasters from various parts of the state attending the two days’ convention of the Indiana Postmasters’ assooiation, which is bolding its first annual meeting- The heroine of the convention is Miss Jennie Spray, who was appointed under the Cleveland administration. She is Hobart's orippled postmistress and republicans are trying to induce Congressman Crumpaoker to have her ousttd- from office. Various reoeptions were given last evening. Among the speakers were Mayor Knotts, Congressman S. J. Lawson, of Effingham, F. E. Coyne, of Chicago, O. T. Holloway of Cincinnati, Supt. of railway mail service, and S. E. Rathbone, of Indianapolis, Supt. of the rural mail delivery service. v
