Little Doing On Gifford’s Line.

Mr. Gifford, in writing to a friend in Grown Point says the floods and frost this year have put a heavy burden on his shoulders, but he has not given np yet the building of the railroad through this oounty whioh has been long oontemplated. He will lay his traok as far as the Kankakee river at any rate, and hopes to have it completed that far before winter oomee, and in time will go further if all goes well and he is properly supported by the people along the way.—Crown Point Btar.
