Judge Truman F. Palmer,, of Monticello, was on the bench, Friday. Issues were made up in the case of Wm. E. Moore, vs Rebecca Porter, and trial set for Sept. 30th. The issues were also made up on the Newton Tp. road case of Makeover vs Blankenbaker, appealed from the commissioners’ court. This case is continued to the November term and will probably bo compromised. August Rosenbaum, another Rensselaer ealoonist. was in the grand-jury’s round up, for permitting gaming. Plead guilty and got the same >lO and coats as the others. Clint Brown, of Pleasant Grove, was another one caught in the Halligan cattle case round-up, with an indictment for disposing of mortgage property. Bail given in sun/of >IOO. The case of 8. E. Yeoman vs F. W, Bedford case began trial Monday before a jury.
