The Opening Meeting.

The opening meeting of the Republican campaign in Jasper county was held Saturday night at Ellis opera house. The speaker was Hon. A N. Grant, of Indianapolis formerly of Kokomo. There was a large audience present, mostly voters. Mr. Grant makes no pretensions to being a “spell-binder,” but he makes a good sound argument, full of telling and conclusive facts and sound reasoning, and wholly devoid of anything approaching abuse of political oppopents.
