Mrs. Dr. Proudley and Mrs. Kil. gore are on the sick list. Seventeen tickets were sold for the Chicago excursion last Sundays Mr. and Mrs. Bringle ‘called on Dr. Davis, at Chicago last Sunday. Zern Wright made his usual visit in town last Sunday. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mr*. Wm. Geary in town, last Friday Sept. 12 th. Hev. Eall will preaoh at t£e Christian church next Sunday afternoon. Everybody cordially invited.
Don’t forget the M, E. social at the school house next Saturday, evening, Sept. 20th. Everybody ( come and have a good time. Miss RilU Cox is visiting Mrs Stella Sbehan, at Lafayette, and ex- 1 pects to be gone a month or longer. 1 Mrs. Cottingham and Mrs. Mun* don attended M. K. conference at Rensselaer over Sunday, George -Davidson end wife r of Rensselaer spent last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Kight and other friends in town. Our schools commence Monday | morning, Oot. 6th. Let there be a . full attendance. Del Slusser and wife visited friends and relatives at Lake Village and Hopkins Park, last Sunday. Wilbur Dodge and family have gone to Blackstone and Ancona, 111,, for an extended visit to friends and 1 relatives, Mrs. John Adams, of Reynolds, was the guest of Mrs. Cottingham last Saturday. Chas. Chamberlain, wife and ! daugnter Dorothy, of Pontiac, 111., visited Mr. and Mrs, Littlefield last Saturday and Sunday, returning home Monday. Owing to some rush work to be done on Babcock & Hopkins elevator at Rensselaer, work on their new e'evator here has been on a stand still the past week. Bruce Moffitt, with a gang of ten men, all left Monday morning for Mayville, W-9 , to commence cutting and pressing hay. They have about 2000 acres and it will take them several months to complete the work Mrs. MaggieGallaher, Tom John, son, wife and two children, and Mrs. Christina Smith, of Kirklin, and Milton Smith and wife, of Elwood, were the guests of N. A. McKay and family last Sunday. All returned home on the excursion except Milton Smith, who will sfay this week to take advantage of the good fishing at the Kankakee, Mrs. Slusser, of Mazon, 111., spent a few days this week with her son Del, and wife.
