Commissioners Rejected All Bids.

On the failure of the Newton County Council to make an appropriation for a new court house at Goodland, the county commissioners at once rejected the bid of E. L. Daner. which was the lowest bid and the one they had announced they would accept, if they accepted any. On a proposition to appropriate $45,000 for a court house four members of the county council voted for it and three against it. As the law requires five votes to carry an appropriation, of course the appropriation was defeated.
