BISHOP JOHN A. VINCENT, D. D. LL D.
Whose picture is here presented will preside over the session of the Northwest Indiana M. E. Conference which begins here today. He one of the strongest men in the Methodist chureh. He was elected a Bishop by the general conference of 1888. Previous to that time he had been at the head of the Sunday School Union and editor of the Sunday School Literature. He is an extensive traveler and the author of a number of book. During Bishop Vincent's stay with us he will give a series of devotional lectures in connection with the daily morning service, at 8 o’clock, On Friday morning at 10 o’clock he will deliver an address to the candidates for the ministery and he will preach in the Methodist church at 10:30 a. m. Sunday.
