Threshing machines are heard all around. Gertie Robey is staying with’Mrs. Tombs near Newland. Mary Openchain and daughter .spent Sunday with her father, Mr. Nuss. James Torbet is very sick with dysentery at this writing. Several from this vicinity attended street carnival at Rensselaer last week. Harry Beck returned to his home at Loohiel after a week’s stay with bis father-in-law, James Torbet. Mr. Penwright and family, of Oklahoma, are visiting Reece Robey and family. Will George and family spent Saturday night at Rensselaer. George Masters is building a new house for Mr. Hurley at Blackford. Hanna, Willis and Oatie Robey, John Daniels, Gifford and Pearl Hays and Harry Penwright spent Sunday with Flossie and Johnnie Torbet. Mr. Watson and family attended church at Gifford Sunday.
